SKYTOLL ENTERS THE ASIAN MARKET, IT OPENED A BRANCH OFFICE IN SINGAPORE

Bratislava, 20 September 2023 – SkyToll, which participates in the development and operation of toll systems in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and other European countries, has opened a branch office in Singapore. In the region of Asia and Pacific region, SkyToll plans to address customers with its solution for charging passenger cars and lorries and innovations in intelligent traffic management to promote sustainable transport and climate protection

In the course of the last decade, SkyToll has gained extensive experience and references not only from the European continent. In 2015, it implemented two successful projects in the Russian Federation, and on the South American continent it successfully piloted a system for monitoring and charging vehicles in Uruguay in the course of 2016.

“Entering the Asian region is a strategic decision for us. Individual countries and urban agglomerations are dealing more than elsewhere with the massive increase in traffic intensity and the associated negative impacts, such as air pollution and extensive traffic congestion. SkyToll always strives to be really close to its customers, which is why the decision was made to open a branch in Singapore and form here a commercial and economic centre for the region of Asia,” said Matej Okáli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ITIS Holding, which is the 100% owner of SkyToll.

The management of SkyToll Pte.Ltd. was entrusted to Joseph Chin, who has more than 25 years of experience in road and rail transport projects, including involvement in several toll and traffic systems in the region of Asia and China. With his knowledge and experience in systems integration and project management, Joseph Chin is ready to support SkyToll’s growth and expansion in the Asian region.

“We are entering Asia with an excellent track record in satellite toll systems, but also with a desire to build new innovative solutions for traffic management in densely populated urban centres, where the application of satellite technology alone can be complicated. Of course, we also want to draw on the experience gained by PPF Group in the region, which is one of the shareholders of ITIS Holding,” added Matej Okáli.
